Pick up from Chandigarh, you have option of having your meals on way, There are vegetarian and
non vegetarian eating points available. The journey goes through Parwanoo, Dharmpur, Solan,
Shimla, Kufri, Theog, Shilaroo and Narkanda. Option of relaxing or little acclimatize walk before
bonfire at our Narkanda retreat
Early risers have a option of hiking to Sun rise to Karena peak (only fit people-1km one way hike)
The aura before the Sunrise is breath taking and side wise you enjoy a panoramic view of mighty
Himalayas. Bird watching lover can have a lovely birding season here also.
If you wake up late then after breakfast we hike to jau bag (only fit people-2.6km one way hike)
(only fit people-1km one way hike) the hike goes through a beautiful dense forest and on parts
there come lovely clearing to give you a chance to capture beautiful memories by taking selfies or
group pictures. Reaching Jau bag takes approximately an hours and there we have option of
collecting drift wood and try our hands in cooking in the jungle (Extra cost as we need to carry
utensils and cooking material) Here we can spend good time and then we move back to our retreat
via Hatu peak. Hatu peak offers a 360 degree view and on a clear day you enjoy a mighty Himalayas
view. Can sit here for longer time to enjoy Sun set which is very beautiful on a clear Sunny day,

After breakfast drive to Sangla(187km) The drive is through Jarol ( can have a short photo season
here at tanijubber lake) Then further continue your journey via Thanedhar (where the first apple
tree was planted by Satyanand Stokes) The drive is all through the apple and cherry orchards till
Bhutti and then further descends to Bithal, where you mt the National Highway and the drive
continuers along with Sutlej river till Karcham. The another highlights which can be seen on way is
th famous Surya temple at Nirth and Rampur the place famous for the trade since ages for the
tribal area and also the Rampur Palace stands tall as Rampur empire’s Legacy. Enroute comes Jeori
where the memorial of the worker who sacrificed their life in making of the toughest road after
India China war. In 1965. The real fell of road, landscape will change onwards Jeori. After reaching
Karcham the road ascends up to Sangla and at times it will give you goose bumps seeing the roads
cut through mighty rocks. Once you reach Kuppa when first you have glimpse of baspa valley you
have jaw dropping experience all the time passing through the valley. Between Kuppa to Batseri
where your stay have been you see the mighty Kinner kailash peaks on the left side of your car
window and towards the right side of you are standing tall Trans Himalayan ranges. Option of
exploring river side forest in the evening.
After breakfast drive to Chitkul(20km) the last village before Tibet border. This days offer a
extremely beautiful views all over the drive, say it mighty Kinner kailash and trans Himalayan
ranges towards the left and right side of your drive respectively. Or the roaring Baspa river the
beautiful Rackcham village you have ever seen. Where ever you stop you will have a heavenly
views. And exploring Chitkul village , interacting with local people and further drive to Nagastie the
last place where civilians can go is really beautiful. On way back we take you to have heavenly
experience of having your picnic Lunch at Rackcham plains , where you sit near by milky stream
flowing underneath you feet is over shadowed by mighty Himalayan ranges all over. Drive to
Kalpa(66km) for night stay. Once you reach Karcham the drive is along Sutlej river till Powari and
then further you ascend up where you first encounter Recongpeo which is the head quarter of this
tribal district Kinnaur and this small little town is very famous for buying local items(pashmina
shawl, Kinnauri topi, chilgauja, chuli oil, sea bucthorn oil and dried apples and appricrot) which
are not easily available in cities. In the evening you can visit Monestry, Rougi the heights and Kaali
temple(famous for its kathkooni architecture)
Kalpa is known for its dry resins but also the best of Kinner Kailash view can be seen from here.
After breakfast drive to Rougi heights (5km) which is known for its hairs raising views of Sutlej
below, which looks like very small stream because of the height we see it also w can visit Kaali
temple(famous for its kathkooni architecture) and the Tibetan monestry. Then further drive to
Nako(107km). The drive is along the Sutlej river all the way till Khab, but the landscape starts
changing after Pooh from here the dry mountains and different colored Rocky mountains chase you
till Nako. After Khab the Spiti and Sutlej river confluence place , we drive along Spiti river for few
hundred meters and then the Ka loops presents a panoramic view and the we enter in the very
different landscape. We have plenty of time to explore this traditional village and can also spend
time around the small Nako Lake
The journey to different world begins from here. The first encounter is with the moor landscape just
after some 6km drive when we start descending to Chango(from nako 25km) a very famous village
for its quality apples. Now the drive is along Spiti river all the way, we reach Sumdo(from Chango
14km) from where the Spiti valley starts (very important here your documents are checked and
foreigner have to take permission form Recong peo to enter beyond this point) After we drive
5km from Sumdo we take right diversion to Giu mummy(7km one way).The mummy is a tiny and
fragile body which seems to have shrunk through the generation in a manner that looks like
dehydration. With a brown color it looks like the body has lived many a life cycle since it was alive.
According to locals it is some 300 years old Monk sitting in meditation. After a short visit to this we
return and start our journey along the Spiti river and we go through small village Hurling, Lari and
then we reach Tabo(from Samdo 34km). Pay a visit to the Tabo monestry which is the oldest
monastery of India and has been functioning continuously since its inception. Then we further to
Dankar Gompa( from Tabo 31km). The view of confluence of Pin and spiti river is phenomenon
from Dankar Gompa . Then we drive to Mud (from Dankar Gompa 51km) and the landscape
suddenly changes as we enter in Pin valley. The beautiful Sagnam(from Dankar Gompa 39km) is
before our night out destination Mud ,and we guarantee you will want to spend hours and hours
here in this beautiful village. Reach Mud (from Sagnam 12km).
Early morning have a short drive towards the Bhawa Pass( 6km one way) and you will click
hundreds of pictures of the beautiful landscape all over where ever you see. The amazing colors of
mountains will never be out of you memories in life , the kind of mountains which you will see in Pin
valley. Then drive back to Kaza(from Mud 50km) the headquarter of Spiti.
Today have a sight seeing to the high altitude valliges of the world and we will have Komic which is
the highest village of the world connected by road and also we will have a visit to Hikkim the
highest post office of the world
Finally the day comes for which we all are waiting for the Chandertal Lake(from kaza 96km). We
will drive through one of the beautiful Ki Monastry(from kaza 14 km) and further visit Kibber (from
Ki Monestry 6km) and then continues to Chicham(from kibber 6km). The highlight here is
Chicham bridge which offers a nail biting experience of standing on it and seeing down to the
gorge flowing below. After Chicham the journey is through very spectacular landscapes of Spiti and
all the way you enjoy the view of Spiti valley from top. Then you go across through village of spiti
and the last village of Spiti valley will be Losar(from Chicham 37km). After Losar the drive is
absolutely amazing till Takcha where will you find many shaphards and horses grazing on the large
green fields. And as the drive goes on , suddenly the mighty Bada Shigri peak stand tall in front of
you, it looks like so close and tall that you will feel that you can touch it. Then come the beautiful
and windy Kunzum Pass(from Losar 18km) from Kunzum pass onwards the roads are in real bad
shape. But the views of Chandra Baga Ranges is so spectacular that you will forget the feel of
bumpy driving all the way. We divert two km before Batal( from Kunzum pass 12km) to
Chandertal lake(from divrsion 14km). It is the place like we have entered heaven. We have to trek
for one km to The Chander tal from the point where the vehicles are allowed. The beauty of this
holy lake can not be described in words. People go speechless to se the beauty of this Lake. And we
request our distinguished guest to follow the nature rules . The circumference of the lake is
approximately 6km and we insist our guest to have a trek back to our camp , which offers a view of
Samuder tapu and Mighty CB ranges.
After breakfast drive to Manali (from Chandertal 111km) we drive along Chandra river all the way
till Atal Tunnel( from Chandertal 83km) and the journey today gives you lot of goose bumps , as
you see hanging glaciers, black ice and the furious flowing Chandra river. The journey enters in
greener part of Lahul valley after Kunzum pass. Relax in Manali.
Departure: Drive back to Chandigarh.
