The journey is complemented by stunning views of Ladakh’s rugged terrain, valleys, and pristine lakes, providing an unforgettable experience for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Arrive at Leh Airport and transfer to your hotel. The day is reserved for acclimatization due to the high altitude of Leh (3500 m). Rest for the day to allow your body to adjust to the altitude. In the evening, meet your wildlife tour guide who will give you a detailed briefing about the upcoming tour.
After an early breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley (145 km) via Khardung La Pass (5600 m), one of the highest motorable passes in the world. En route, spot wildlife like Himalayan Snowcock, Tibetan Wolf, and Red Fox. Visit Deskit Monastery and the famous sand dunes of Hunder. After a day of exploration, check into your accommodation for a restful night.
Start the day with a wildlife safari in Panamik, Sumoor, and Hunder. The valley is home to a variety of wildlife species like Wild Ass, Yak, Ladakh Urial, and Marmots. In the afternoon, visit the Tibetan Wild Ass Sanctuary. This region also offers sightings of Golden Eagles, Steppe Eagles, and Black-necked Cranes.
After an early breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake (146 km), crossing the stunning Shyok River route. The area around the lake offers views of migratory birds and animals. Watch for Blue Sheep, Tibetan Wolves, and Wild Asses. The lake is a perfect place to spot the elusive Bar-headed Goose and Common Shelduck.
After breakfast, enjoy a final round of wildlife spotting around Pangong Lake, looking for birds like the Tibetan Snowcock and Red-billed Chough. Drive back to Leh, passing through scenic villages and open plains where you may encounter Marmots and Tibetan Gazelles. On arrival in Leh, transfer to the airport for your return journey home.
